A large manufacturing company uses flammable and combustible chemicals in the process of manufacturing various machined parts on turning mills and metals lathes. The company needed additional storage for flammable and combustible chemicals as the company grew but was already at maximum quantities allowable by NFPA and the Ohio Fire Code.

Molnar & Associates assisted the company by recommending low cost solutions to increase allowable quantities with the installation of a fire control area in the warehouse and keeping a portion of the chemicals in fire cabinets. We also reviewed the MSDS’s of each chemical to separate which chemicals were flammable or combustible according to Ohio Fire Code. After a review of the MSDS’s, a portion of the chemicals were neither flammable or combustible.

Manufacturing Company,

A local High School’s fire alarm system was struck by lighting and damaged beyond repair. The school was ordered to do a fire watch by the Fire Marshal while school was in session and ordered to have the fire alarm system replaced within a week. The school turned to the company that did annual testing and maintenance of the school’s fire alarm system and had them install the new fire alarm system without getting another quote from a different fire alarm company.

The school could have saved thousands of dollars by using Molnar & Associates to obtain a competitive quote from three different fire alarm installers. In addition, a true cost including permits and other hidden charges would be brought to the attention of the school’s administrators before any contracts were signed.
